NETGEAR Canada is looking for a Senior baseband Engineer with a strong interest and knowledge in wireless data communication hardware development. As a part of the Hardware team, you will lead the design and architecture planning on prototype to mass production life cycle development. Hardware topics typical to both mobile handsets and fixed routers will be involved – batteries and charging circuits/algorithms, power adapter testing and verification. There is also IC-level selection and verification and technology studies including USB (Type-C, 3.1), Ethernet, PCIE, and other high-speed standards.
Test and design baseband circuits involving switching power supplies, high speed memory interfaces, USB 2.0 and 3.0, and battery charging systems.
Design and maintain detailed Test Plans for verification.
Follow design verification test plans and document reports for wireless devices.
Guide development partners for verification and mass production.
Experience with wireless products (2G/3G/4G/ LTE) is a strong asset.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Software development, programming and/or scriptingexperience is preferred.
BS/MSdegree and/or relevant work experience.
