We are looking for a Senior Go Engineer, with a focus on backend system architecture, to join our rapidly growing Innovation team.

As a Senior Go Engineer, you will be exposed to all facets of the business and be encouraged to learn and develop skills both within and beyond your role. You'll be working in one of the most collaborative offices in Center City Philly, developing and working with machine learning technology, surrounded by passionate, high-performing individuals.

The ideal candidate is an intelligent, motivated person who enjoys collaborating with talented co-workers to solve complex problems and make a meaningful impact on a team.


  • Fluency programming in Go
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful web services
  • Strong sense of ownership with a focus on quality, spanning from testing through to proactive documentation of deliverables and architectural decisions
  • Has built and deployed microservices and understands the benefits and challenges of working with a microservice-based architecture
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
  • Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or a comparable cloud services provider, and an understanding of the different services that AWS offers
  • Agile methodologies
  • A strong critical thinker and problem solver with the ability to innovate and lead a project team
  • Experience mentoring junior developers in-person and via code review processes


  • Experience programming in Python
  • Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD)
  • Containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
  • Experience working closely with a Data Science team
  • Experience in a fast-paced, startup environment
  • Experience in the advertising/ad tech industry


As the Senior Go Engineer on our Product Engineering team, you will be working closely with the product team to develop solutions that solve their business problems using an agile software development methodology.

  • Develop and deliver new features of Sidecar's technology
  • Work with Product Owners to develop project plans, including scope and timelines for projects
  • Accountable for successful technical delivery that meets company and product goals
  • Ensure adherence to process and best practices
