Short Description

Senior Global Insurance Risk Manager

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage the overall global insurance programs including insurance placements, negotiations, coverage review, and claims management for all lines of coverage
  • Review operational activities to continually evaluate the adequacy of insurance coverage and  identify gaps or enhancements to ensure appropriate coverage levels and riskretention
  • Lead quarterly casualty claims reviews with insurer, business unit and broker
  • Approve reserve adjustment and claim settlement requested from insurers
  • Create and communicate claim-handling and certificate of insurance processes to the business
  • Coordinate with legal and business partners on negotiation of indemnifications and insurance terms in customer, supplier and other service provider contracts
  • Develop and conduct risk management training and educational programs
  • Keep abreast of new issues and best practices in the field of risk management
  • Participate in broad treasury activities.


  • Ability to manage and execute multiple projects concurrently and keep to deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, record keeping and follow-up
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills, to be able to inform and persuade both orally and in writing to all levels of management
  • Strong engagement skills that build credibility and influence with stakeholders
  • Willingness and ability to take on additional projects


    Other Treasury Responsibilities

  • Provide ad hoc analysis and Treasury project support as needed, which may include at the Board, executive, rating agency or senior management levels
  • Provide support to M&A initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with all corporate policies, guidelines and Sarbanes-Oxley 404 controls
  • Keep abreast of new issues and best practices in the field of treasury risk management
  • Participate in broad treasury activities


  • 5+ years of work experience in global risk management and insurance including annual renewal process and negotiations, claims management and resolution, and legal contract reviews
  • Strong analytical ability to identify risks, analyze and implement solutions and manage data
  • Thorough knowledge of risk management techniques, concepts and lines of insurance
  • Ability to understand the company’s operations and risks and creatively implement policies and programs to proactively manage risk and minimize losses
  • Strong technical expertise interpreting insurance issues incontract



7 - 10 Years of Experience


Bachelordegree or equivalent experience
