The position will prepare and manage various financialreporting, analysis and accounting activities across all Surface Technologies Business Units.
The Senior Global Financial Analyst is expected to independently and pro-actively provide insights into the performance of the Surface Technologies GBU.
One direct report (one intern).
Frequent interaction with Business Units Finance staff in domestic and international locations. Will also interact with Senior management and other Managers at these sites. High direct exposure to Executive Management, in particular the President and VP Finance of Surface Technologies GBU. Will be expected to answer promptly and accurately to information requests.
No direct budget responsibility, but expectation to follow up on Surface Technologies GBU performance indicators.
Responsibilities require structuring processes, work flows and reporting on a global basis with strict adherence to timeline, accuracy and form requirements. Need to understand Corporate Management and Accounting requirements for budget/forecast and reporting cycles and assure accurate capturing of information globally to support this. Should actively work on continuous improvement of current and new processes as well as improved managerial reporting to support business decision making.
Defines reporting requirements and timetable for the business in conjunction with the VP Finance Surface Technologies GBU and team to meet all corporate reporting requirements and in compliance with financial standards, US GAAP, IFRS and all internal control requirements and corporate, segment and RBU calendars.
Manages the month end process at GBU level including:
Consolidates/Prepares the monthly flash explaining actual vs forecast variances
Co-ordinates forecast process for the GBU and prepares forecast explanations.
Prepares month end consolidated financials for communication to business management.
Manages numbers submitted through FRS and conducts detailed reviews of financial results of each business unit and questions unexpected results or unusual trends (greenbar reviews).
Prepares as needed GBU reviews and ELT (executive leadership team) meetings presentation files for the President and VP Finance of Surface Technologies GBU.
Manages the quarter end and year end process including:
Balance sheet review calls with each business unit jointly with VP Finance Surface Technologies GBU and team
Consolidation/Preparation of quarterly reporting for PwC, RBU and Corporate (Quarter over quarter, Rep Letters Reviews, T&C reviews etc).
Actively participate in Monthly Performance Reviews (MPRs) and budget reviews. Assist the Senior Financial Business Partner, Surface Technologies GBU to ensure action items from MPR’s are followed up.
Manage the GBU forecasting and budgeting process in conjunction with Senior Financial Business Partner, Surface Technologies GBU, including:
Development of timetable and requirements including templates.
Co-ordination of Early View and budget reviews .
Preparation of consolidated presentation for final presentation to President and VP Finance of Surface Technologies GBU.
Review of final FRS submissions for completion and accuracy.
Performs (in conjunction with Senior Financial Business Partner, Surface Technologies GBU) complex, non-standard accounting, financial or cost analysis, such as evaluating acquisitions, new business ventures, competitor analysis, allocation methods, impairment testing or AFE preparation.
Information collection systems are expected to be structured to preventrisk of mistakes, misunderstandings and other errors. Additional review processes and reconciliations should be in place to detect reporting errors, but focus should primarily be on preventative controls. Errors may have serious consequences on the financial statements, disclosures and internal compliance.
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Business Administration preferred. A professional certification (e.g. CPA) is valued.
+8years’ experience from work in advanced financial positions.
High level of analytical skills, attention to detail, and good organization and planning skills.
Advanced computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet, and financial analysis software.
Ability to adapt to several software environments in order to have the capability necessary to audit work and to produce useful reports for top management.
Experience in designing process improvements, implementing procedures and controls.
Demonstrated solid ability to work independently and solve complex, non-recurring problems.
Demonstrated leadership/supervisor ability.
Strong communication skills. Position has exposure to TechnipFMC executive and senior leadership team members.
