We prefer candidates who have a strong background in sophisticated web applications and large scale internet services.

Key Qualifications

  • Fully cognizant of complexities around creating accessible web applications, and the value of doing so
  • Solid understanding of CSS syntax, rule priority, and layout — especially flex box
  • Experience using debugging tools to diagnose and resolve web performance problems
  • Experience with React or other modern web frameworks
  • Experience setting up a continuous deployment pipeline for web apps
  • Experience implementing HTTP API servers
  • Experience building and publishing software for use by others outside your team (e.g. open source software)
  • Comfortable with UNIX and the command line
  • Comfortable using git to manage multiple in-flight features, maintain a coherent project history, and find regressions
  • Comfortable using Docker


Senior Frontend Engineer for internal Apple engineering tools. Your job is to provide your fellow Apple engineers with internal tools that reflect the same level of UI/UX polish that external Apple customers currently expect. Help Apple’s rapidly growing Services business scale up iTunes, Apple Music, iCloud, Maps, The App Store, and much more. You’ll be part of a small team with a large impact by building the tools used to operate Apple’s largest Internet services. You’ll have the freedom to build applications with the methods you see fit, and the responsibility to help keep Apple systems reliable and Apple customer data secure.


Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or EE, or relevant industry experience

Additional Requirements

Minimum Qualifications Several years of experience building sophisticated web applications in a team environment Practical experience with JavaScript component frameworks, build tools, and test frameworks Able to write robust, reusable components that are easily understood and used by other members of the dev team Knowledge of authentication schemes and a deep understanding of the principles of writing secure web applications Experience working with designers, but fully capable of designing your own clean, functional UIs from scratch Excellent writer and communicator
