Job Description

The Commerce team at Atlassian is responsible for the entire billing experience from customer facing user interface, through to the backend systems processing payments from thousands of our customers a day. We are responsible for making sure our customers have an easy, first-class experience when trying and buying our products.

We are looking for a Sr. Developer to help build the future of Atlassian billing & payments, a challenging program to build the commerce platform Atlassian will use to help build the business for the next decades of the company. It will require the collaboration of most of the teams across the company and it's critical for the strategy of the company in the short and long term.

In the context of this program, Purchasing team will be focused on billing and payments. We are responsible for the billing user experience of our customers and partners while we provide backend services to support order processing, payments, invoicing, provisioning, licensing, dunning, revenue recognition and much more.  


  • You will expand the capabilities of the platform to provide a richer try, buy and manage experience for our customers

  • Lead development of features across commerce engineering services

  • You and the team will work with other teams in Atlassian to get critical projects delivered

  • You will use your strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration within the team and with other business teams

  • You enjoy working with a wide range of technologies, like Typescript, React / Redux, Spring, Micros, Kinesis


  • Specialization in Javascript, HTML5, CSS, and ReactJS

  • Familiarity with NodeJS and Java

  • You have experience with front-end development and have a desire to expand your skills and knowledge

  • You bring expertise in building and maintaining high-quality components
