Job Description and Requirements

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in forecasting and tracking revenue for the Software Integrity Group business unit. Success will require the Senior Financial Analyst to collaborate with other finance team members as well as with other parts of the Synopsys organization including senior management. This team member will prepare forecasts, monitor progress, and analyze results related to sales orders and revenue for the application security business. The Senior Finance Analyst will be responsible for creating presentations for the executive management team and support efforts to make improvements to the financial reporting and the order-to-cash processes.

General Responsibilities

• Partner with sales, business operations, product management, and accounting teams to forecast and track orders and revenue

• Execute a combination of daily operational activities and process improvement projects, including orders and revenue analysis and financial reporting

• Build presentation-ready deliverables and work product to support executive discussions and decision making

• Work closely with Application Security Consulting team to track and analyze revenue delivery and related margins

• Coordinate cross-functionally with the business unit's sales team, customer support team, and finance team as well as the corporate controllership team to support revenue growth and ensure accurate financial reporting of orders and revenue according to revenue recognition rules

• Support the financial close by projecting revenue and assisting in delivering committed revenue

• Prepare and present forecast analysis to support executive investment and business decisions

• Assist in developing and maintaining financial and operational metrics related to business unit revenue and consulting services profitability

• Support efforts to improve operational/financial processes and reporting including partnering with IT, Business Operations, and Sales Operations on system automation capabilities

• Partner with business unit FP&A to monitor consulting services costs to drive margin growth and meet profitability targets

• Support annual planning and budgeting processes as needed to ensure orders and revenue objectives are detailed and documented

Qualifications and Experience

• 7+ years of relevant finance experience in a technology company environment preferred

• Undergraduate degree required, MBA preferred

• Knowledge of GAAP and understanding of financial statements required

• Excellent in financial modeling and analytical skills

• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills essential

• Strong quantitative, organizational and communications skills

• Must be detail oriented and capable of maintaining a high level of integrity in your work

• Knowledge of Salesforce, SAP, and Kimble preferred
