Job Description:The San Francisco 49ers are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team.  The Senior Financial Analyst will be part of a small, but highly influential Finance team that is expected to deliver timely and accurate financial data to executive management.  The role will also work with business partners in other functions who value your ability to help them analyze, understand, manage, and maximize their financial resources so that they can achieve their company goals.    

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the annual operating and capital budget preparation process
  • Analyze monthly departmental financials and make recommendations to key decision makers
  • Proactively investigate unusual balances, variances, and fluctuations with departmental heads and/or Accounting team
  • Make suggestions to improve the quality and relevance of financial information 
  • Build and analyze ad hoc financialreports as needed for senior level finance leaders 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or equivalent required.  MBA a plus
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Advanced modeling and Excel skills
  • General ledger and budgeting software experiencerequired; Dynamics GP (Great Plains) and/or Anaplanexperience are a plus 
  • Solid understanding of financial statements and GAAP accounting 
  • Collaborative style and track record of building positive working relationships at all levels of an organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented, well organized, with the ability to manage a variety of financeresponsibilities 
  • Ability to work in a high-energy environment and deliver within tight deadlines 
  • Ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate a pattern of success throughout his or her work experience
