WIB is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst for its Financial Planning & Analysis Team. As one of the financial analysts on the team, this position will be responsible for working on the preparation, development, and analysis of financial information to ensure that SWIB's management makes well-informed decisions to ensure future stability, growth, and profitability. This position will report to the Financial Planning & Analysis Director.

 

Essential activities:

  • Lead development of annual Total Cost of Management Plan at the agency and division level, and ongoing monitoring, reporting, and analysis of plan to actual expenses
  • Lead monitoring, analysis, and reporting of portfolio level P&L for senior leadership
  • Review complex calculations to validate incentive compensation model
  • Compile and analyze data for the annual Cost of Management benchmarking process
  • Work on special projects as determined by the Financial Planning & Analysis Director and Chief Financial Officer

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, business, accounting, or related field
  • MBA or CPA/CFA
  • 1-3 years of investment industry experience
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in forecasting, planning, financial analysis, and reporting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, advanced skills with Excel
  • Ability to efficiently analyze large amounts of data, develop financial models, and prepare and present recommendations to peers and management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • An ability to be adaptive and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Superb work ethic, attention to detail, team orientation, and commitment to excellence

The position requires U.S. work authorization and residency in, or willingness to relocate to, the Madison, Wisconsin area. SWIB is prepared to offer relocation assistance as needed.
