The Senior Financial Analyst role is an opportunity to represent Bimba Manufacturing within IMI Precision Engineering. This individual must be able to provide sound and reliable judgment for all financial aspects vital to the Bimba executive team. Positional responsibility is driven by establishing/maintaining Finance-driven processes specific to IMI Precision Engineering, to include robust financial reporting responsibilities; budgeting, forecasting and planning processes; detailed variance and KPI analysis; process-driven continuous improvement efforts; internal controls; and ad hoc projects. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a very fast-paced environment subject to constant deadlines and possesses excellent communication skills to educate non-financial stakeholders.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Manage the budgeting and forecasting process to include working with minimal direction and to educate non-finance personnel regarding budgetary compliance goals & objections
Produce and deliver financial reporting to senior management in line with guidance of IMI reporting/planning cycle to include monthly, quarterly, half-year, and annual requirements.
Review expense accrual, track costs and monitor trends on assigned projects
Prepare monthly financial package for the leadership team.
Provide input and assist in identifying and communicating key performance indicators and the interpretation thereof
Prepare detailed analysis of margins and operating expenses to drive efficiencies and cost savings.
Prepare and or analyze business cases (what if analysis) related to budgets, forecasting and financial performance in order to provide senior management with additional information and recommendations.
Assist process-driven continuous improvement efforts through established methods and approaches, such as kaizen events, root cause analysis, value-stream mapping, etc.
Review of Capital Expenditure Proposals, insuring accurate financial analysis and adherence to capital budgets.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting/Finance from four-year College or University is required
6+ years of experience with financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, accounting and/or financial reporting.
Best in class knowledge of financial practices, GAAP, cost management, supply chain and knowledge of manufacturing/operations is beneficial. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills are essential. Ability to solve practical problems in a timely manner whilst dealing with a level of ambiguity. Detail oriented with proven accuracy.
Computers and Technology
Proficient in MS Office Suite with particular emphasis placed on proficiency in MS Excel - vlookups, nested formulas, etc.
Experience with JDE, Oracle, SAP or similar platform applications (and associated implementations) preferred.
Knowledge of Cognos Controller, or equivalent consolidation and reporting software.
