Job Description

Senior Financial Analyst (Hybrid) - We Serve. We Grow. We Achieve.

This position is Hybrid, working remotely up to 3 days a week.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides timely statistical and financial reporting and analysis to leadership, providers, and internal departments in support of strategic and operational decision making, provider compensation, continuous improvement projects, and impromptu data requests. Conducts comprehensive data and trend analysis using multiple data sources for reporting, provider compensation, budgeting, forecasting, and financial models. Coordinates with external contacts and governing agencies in the preparation of cost reports, grant financial reports, and special requests. This position is Hybrid, working remotely up to 3 days a week.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Accumulates, summarizes and interprets financial data, providing value added analytical insight and delivering information in a usable format to end users.
  • Analyzes raw data to ensure data integrity; identifying and resolving errors and/or gaps.
  • Generates financial models and performs business analysis for the organization. This includes, but is not limited to, provider compensation programs and modeling reimbursement rates.
  • Designs methodologies for measuring financial impact of organization initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to, cost benefit analysis of new programs or projects.
  • Creates, establishes, and ensures maintenance of ongoing tracking and reporting systems and methodologies in order to measure and document targets and outcomes.
  • Monitors and ensures that sound financial modeling practices are utilized and tools developed are consistently applied across the organization to achieve timely and accurate financial and productivity results.
  • Leads complex analyses and reporting projects providing guidance to and collaboration with Financial Analysts
  • Supports data requests from internal departments. This includes, but is not limited to Finance, Operations, Human Resources, Quality, and Billing.
  • Assists in development, monthly preparation, and distribution of tailored financial and utilization reports for the organization users, including the Board of Directors.
  • Assists in audits as required.
  • Supports development of the annual budget, including budget analyses.
  • Assists in the preparation of cost reports, grant financial reports, and special financial reports.
  • Assists in the documentation and monitoring of internal controls and department standard work procedures.
  • Performs other duties, as required or assigned by the Financial Analyst Manager and Director of Finance.
  • Participates as a member of the Finance team and attends all departmental and all-staff meetings as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting/Finance, or related field from an accredited college or university plus a minimum five (5) years of financial analyst or related experience; or an equivalent amount of education and experience. Prefer experience in health care or human service related organizations; must have knowledge of the principles of financial management. In addition, must have knowledge of financial and budgetary practices to assist in the development of the annual budget, be able to analyze and report on financial data and patterns, and prepare financial statements. Prefer candidate to have knowledge of healthcare reimbursement.
