The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for developing, interpreting, and implementing financial concepts for financial planning and control in a timely, accurate, and actionable manner for corporate reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and accurate reports; generate periodic reports for internal and external audiences, including forecasts, budgets, actual vs. budget reports, board presentations and financial metrics reports
  • Analyze opex, cost allocations, and network operations to include variance analysis and cost saving opportunities
  • Conduct and interpret detailed financial analysis
  • Perform business case analysis with appropriate assumptions and payback analysis
  • Analyze economic drives of the business client such as customer churn and renewals
  • Manage pipeline analysis such as win/loss analysis and pipeline summary analysis of new business and conversion into budget or forecast
  • Prepare cost projections
  • Conduct thorough research of historical financial data
  • Compile and analyze financial reports and inform senior management of discrepancies that require their attention
  • Prepare financial reports with reliable conclusions that management can use to implement more effective operational strategies
  • Generate forecast models for revenue changes and expenditure increases/decreases
  • Provide end of month report for monthly business review and appropriate analysis and trend information
  • Identify, develop, and create opportunities for enhanced business processes in order to maximize customer satisfaction, accuracy, and efficiency throughout all processes
  • Collect information, interpret and prioritize its significance, and organize into presentations (including graphs and charts) that support business decisions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • 10+ years of experience working in finance and/or accounting or a combination of education and experience
  • Experience with at least one company that has revenue in excess of $100 million
  • Understanding of corporate financial planning, reporting and analysis, and costing/profitability methodologies and processes
  • Knowledge of common business and cost drivers, financial statement analysis, and deep-dive analysis
  • Ability to demonstrate financial maturity and perspective which add value beyond the finance function; ability to assume broader responsibilities, to help set strategic direction to establish operating priorities
  • Ability to handle sensitive materials and maintain the highest level of confidentiality; possesses high personal and professional ethics and integrity
  • Ability handle competing priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Ability to commit to achieving quality results through appropriate attention to deal, discipline, and analytical problem solving
  • Ability to build effective relationships through effective interpersonal skills and confidently interact with all levels of the organization; demonstrates poise, tact, and diplomacy
  • Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills and the ability to work directly with a variety of levels of management and functions

  • Hands-on experience with financial and statistical software
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems
  • Proficiency with management information systems and all MS office applications (especially Excel and PowerPoint)

 

Valued but not required skills and experience:
