Abt Electronics has an immediate opening for the position of a Senior Financial Analyst. The Senior Finance Analyst will be a key finance contact for the team and will report into the CFO. This role will provide overall support in preparation of financial analysis, reporting and decks/presentations. This role will also provide support to senior leadership (e.g. Owners, CIO, VP).   • Hands on position as well as project management and process improvement participation
  • Acquire solid understanding of Abt businesses to drive our culture, focus on the customer, grow top and bottom line, and improve every day
  • Demonstrate leadership by successfully managing medium to large reporting and testing projects
  • Gather data, apply rigorous analysis methods, and synthesize conclusions into recommendations
  • Leverage data mining tools (e.g. SQL, Business Objects) and modeling techniques to solve business problems
  • Mid-month and month-end close activities, working closely with the Accounting group to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements and commentary
  • Work cross-functionally to manage P&L expectations
  • Provide ad-hoc projects and analysis as requested
  • Provide guidance and help develop junior associates

Job Requirements:

  • 5-8 years Finance/Accountingexperience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Master's in Finance concentration
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is critical. Business Objects and SQL experience a big plus
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable solutions and processes
  • Innovative thinker with a focus on continuous process improvement
  • Ability to present business and technical results clearly, completely and accurately
  • Strong foundation in the use of information systems and ability to learn/manipulate systems quickly
  • Comfortable with large volumes of complex data
