The successful candidate will be accountable for the following functions:


  • Responsible to create a control environment and drive favourable project expenditures. This includes ensuring all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded.
  • Support and present at all project reviews including BU, Regional and Group.
  • Establish and update Earned Value Management system for measuring, monitoring, and forecasting project cost, schedule status and performance.
  • Effectively communicate/report the project's cost performance including issues/ concerns and recovery plans.
  • Coordinate and work with the Program Manager to resolve project issues to ensure the delivery/completion of the project work.
  • Evaluate and update the accuracy of the project cost forecast (Estimate at Completion EAC) by assessing actual cost incurred and progress achieved for all phases of a project.
  • Support Program Manager in estimating and incorporating project changes and contingency burn-down reporting
  • Review and approve all project purchase requisitions along with of third-party supplier payments vs deliverables
  • Cost / man-day tracking by major workstream including tracking how each workstream is tracking vs its milestones
  • Feed inputs into core BU financial processes such as month end, MMC and Budget
  • Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism in all communications, actions and decisions.

  • BS/BA in accounting or finance. MBA, CPA, or relevant Master's Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 7+ years of progressive finance experience including a high level financial reporting and analysis position
  • Experience in finance project management and EVM reporting preferred
  • Highly motivated to drive change and deliver results. Demonstrated desire to lead others.
  • Analytical and critical thinker with the ability to gain buy-in and build consensus with key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated knowledge of working with complex Excel models. Expert knowledge of reporting techniques including Dashboards
  • Strong attention to detail and can produce quality work in a fast paced environment. Able to identify gaps and develop a plan to address those issues
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels within the organization
  • Results oriented: setting goals and priorities that maximize the use of resources available to consistently deliver quality results

• Extensive experience in quickly identifying issues/relationships and also offer solutions/alternatives

• Expert at multi-tasking and managing competing priorities

• Strong people management and leadership skills.
