The senior field marketing manager will collaborate extensively with teams across AppDirect including sales, business development, product marketing, and the executive leadership team. This position is based in San Francisco, and reports to the director of demand generation. What you’ll do and how you’ll make an impact:

  • Design and execute a field marketing strategy to generate and accelerate pipeline - Work closely with demand gen and sales teams to develop field marketing strategy that us aligned with the company’s goals. Help achieve our business goals by owning all aspects of event and field marketing. Plan and execute events, create and launch promotional campaigns to drive event-related outcomes. Work with demand gen and sales teams to deliver maximum ROI on events.
  • Own our global events and webinar program - Plan and execute event logistics for our events and tradeshows. Own the planning and execution of our annual user conference, Engage. Develop the event and webinar calendar to create and accelerate pipeline. Drive project schedules, adhere to budgets, and oversee functions of event planning and event management. Work with the marketing and sales teams to determine appropriate collateral, sponsorships, promotions, and staffing for each event. Recommended and implement best practices and processes for lead follow up with sales development representatives and account executives.
  • Drive results and ROI as a member of the demand generation team - Plan and execute promotional campaigns for each of your events. Develop strategies for both acquiring and nurturing leads that drive awareness, consideration, and purchase intent across all field marketing channels including email, social promotion, webinars, paid programs, and events. Measure and report out on the success of events and evaluate results against organizational goals. Drive continuous improvement throughout our event and webinar strategy. Work across the marketing organization to oversee the timely execution of event-related demand generation and campaign marketing plans.
  • Own a revenue number - Own a revenue target, drive results, and report on ROI. Leverage data and reporting to identify trends in event performance and implement best practices to increase contribution to pipeline.
  • Help develop new field marketing programs – Explore and develop new programs to increase pipeline, operational excellence, and drive growth.
  • Be a successful self-starter – Be a smart, resourceful, and a resilient self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment where initiative and innovation are required. This is a highly-visible role in the company.
  • Collaborate – Develop partnerships with sales, product, PR, executive leadership, and agency teams to ensure an integrated, multi-channel field marketing approach.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
  • 7-10 years experience as a people manager in B2B event and field marketing, including managing concurrent trade shows and large hosted events (user/customer conferences)
  • Demonstrable experience crafting and executing field marketing plans to drive pipeline creation with events and webinars
  • Demonstrated history and expertise in creating and executing promotional campaigns, project management, event planning best practices, space management, audio/visual, signage, housing, sponsorship strategy, and vendor management
  • Intermediate to advanced competency with using Salesforce CRM, especially campaign management, reporting, and dashboard building. Expertise using marketing technology to drive event-related outcomes (e.g., email marketing with Hubspot, Eloqua, Marketo, etc.)
  • Demonstrable ability to measure and report performance of marketing campaigns, and assess against marketing KPIs
  • Strong skills and up-to-date on the best practices for multi-channel marketing strategies
  • Meticulous, detail-oriented, analytical, and data-driven mindset with a commitment to quality in everything you produce
  • Exceptionally proactive with a willingness to “learn, then do, then master, then teach”
  • Demonstrated excellence with written communications, project management, and time management
  • Ability to get things done, quickly and effectively
  • B2B field marketing leadership experiencerequired, preferably in the technology industry
  • Experience in demand generation is a big plus
