We are looking for a dynamic Senior Facilities Project Manager to join our Enterprise Facility Services (EFS) team in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will be responsible for providing project leadership and administration for concurrent projects within the Enterprise. The Senior Facilities Project Manager will partner with the businesses we support, and orchestrate the development of project goals, objectives, and criteria in a collaborative, teaming environment. This commitment will require the ability to plan at both the Strategic and Operational levels so facilities are designed, built, maintained and renovated to meet the ongoing business needs. Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating within our multi-disciplinary facilities functions to ensure sustainability of the workplace, building systems, and infrastructure
  • Interfacing with U.S. and global business teams to develop and implement new construction, major infrastructure, and renovation projects to meet specific business objectives through all stages of the project delivery process from concept through move-in
  • Facilitating the project delivery process with major emphasis on the up-front planning process including project scope, cost modeling, and estimating
  • Managing and effectively communicating the status of multiple projects while adhering to quality, timing, and budgetary considerations
  • Driving decisions in a non-hierarchical environment through influence and teamwork with key stakeholders.
  • Managing the efforts of architectural / engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing detailed construction and bid documents
  • Implementing brand aligned workplace environments on behalf of the Enterprise
  • Promoting the use of superior / competitive technology in implementing the project process
  • Providing the appropriate level of engineered solution for small and large projects to meet the business objectives
  • Demonstrate knowledge of construction best practices and building relationships with local AHJ’s (Authorities Having Jurisdiction)
  • As a project owner, ensuring sustainable building documentation is updated and kept evergreen when affected by change
  • Directing external partners to deliver to these expectations including internal standards through initial contract language and by driving accountability during project commissioning/validation

Qualifications

Required Job Qualifications:

  • A BS/BA in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Facility Management or related discipline with a minimum of 5 years' experience in Facilities or Construction Management
    OR a minimum of 10 years' experience in Facilities or Construction Management
  • Experience at negotiation and administration of construction contracts and consultant agreements
  • Direct experience with facilities HVAC systems and construction methods and materials
  • Complete understanding of the design and construction process including programming, code analysis, schematic design, design development, estimating, contract documents, specifications, bidding, contracts, contract administration, construction, commissioning, and project turnover
  • Proven ability to plan and organize complex projects and develop detailed project scopes
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and estimating
  • Demonstrated aptitude toward facility design, construction and operations with an emphasis on design knowledge within the architectural and engineering fields
  • Highly developed communication, influencing, organizational, prioritization, and documentation skills
  • Self-directed individual with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to facilitate team problem solving activities
  • Ability to:
    • Travel up to 20%. This is primarily between Phoenix and Flagstaff facilities
    • Collaborate effectively with regional and global teams
    • Read design and construction drawings and understand codes, materials and methods involved in construction and renovation
