NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Senior Engineering/Systems Analyst Task Manager to join our team in Norfolk, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

 

 

The Senior Engineering/Systems Analyst Task Manager will support the customer in their role as In-Service Fleet Support Directorate, responsible for planning and executing programmed modernization and for coordinating Class maintenance planning and execution sufficient to ensure the continued readiness of surface ship assets. This position requires technical, administrative, and programmatic services toward these complementary fleet readiness efforts and in support of each command’s mission and vision. This task entails consolidating and streamlining like processes under one support organization to the fullest extent possible. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the staff and efforts under their projects are coordinated to ensure efficient and effective processes are achieved and maintained. This Task Manager will ensure that work accomplished complies with all statues, regulations, policies, etc. that are applicable to the customer. Task managers are responsible for scheduling and managing contractor support, ordering supplies, and selecting personnel for the projects they manage.

 

This individual will oversee the operations and management of the Regional Maintenance Centers (RMCs) in the execution of both public and private yard depot level repair and modernization, technical and engineering assistance, and readiness assessments on naval surface fleet vessels. We are looking for individuals with relevant engineering backgrounds knowledgeable of the Navy’s Surface Fleet assets and life cycle processes and that can provide solutions to help the customer improve readiness and maintenance of existing fleet by improving feedback mechanisms, strengthening analysis and decision making processes associated with deferred maintenance and enhancing transparency/inputs for all stakeholders on how both maintenance and modernization items are integrated and prioritized in work packages.

Education

  • High school degree, or a GED, and more than twenty (20) years of relevant experience, OR Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and fifteen (15) years of relevant experience, OR Master's degree in a relevant field and ten (10) years of relevant experience.

 

Experience

  • Requires at least 20 years relevant experience without a Degree; 15+ years relevant experience with Undergraduate Degree; 10+ years relevant experience with Graduate Degree

 

Specific Skills

  • Requires an Active Secret clearance
  • 10+ years experience with Navy Planned Maintenance System
  • 5+ years experience with Microsoft Office

 

Desired Skills

  • Lean Six-Sigma Black or Green belt training/qualifications -Familiarity with surface ship design and operations
