WSP USA has an immediate opening in our St. Louis office for a Senior Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your career working on a wide variety of transportation and infrastructure projects throughout the state of Missouri and across the Midwest, including major highways, local roads, site development, transit & rail, airports, program management, and other transportation related projects. This position will provide you with an opportunity to lead highway/civil design tasks while collaborating with a variety of project teams within WSP USA.
As a key member of our design team, this position will actively contribute to the overall success of transportation infrastructure projects in Missouri, including projects with the Missouri Department of Transportation, municipalities, and other agencies throughout the State. The successful candidate will also be part of the larger WSP USA family, with opportunities to interact with transportation professionals across the United States and around the world. The position also includes working within a team environment, which will help guide your career on the right path and provide you with multiple professional opportunities.
The primary responsibilities include leading and performing various civil engineering tasks such as geometric studies and design, plan and profile development, site development and grading, maintenance of traffic and staging, final PS&E development, special provisions, cost estimating, quality controls, and a variety of other tasks and duties. The role will also include collaboration within project teams and with stakeholders.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in civil/transportation engineering, including a strong background in highway geometrics and plan preparation.
Experience in leading the development of final design deliverables in CADD including MicroStation and Bentley 3D Modeling Software.
The ability to lead civil design squads on a variety of highway projects.
Familiarity with AASHTO and State DOT Criteria and Standards.
An excellent communicator and team player
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
Ability to independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and criteria using sound judgment.
Design-build experience is not required, but preferred.
Ability to work in this country immediately is required.
