Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer / Manager for our office in Houston, TX to expand our Water Resources practice in the Greater Houston area. AECOM is one of the nation's leading water resources firms with opportunities to work with a wide variety of clients on water resources planning, engineering, and design projects. The successful candidate will have relevant analysis/design/management experience in one or more of the following areas: hydrology and hydraulics, floodplain mapping, transportation drainage, stormwater management, coastal analyses, and engineering drainage and PS&E development. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multi-disciplinary teams and delivering complex water resources projects for local, state and federal clients. In addition, the successful candidate will support water resources business development efforts across the Texas marketplace.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related field)
  • 10+ yrs experience civil engineering consulting or engineering management 
  • Professional Engineer license in Texas  
  • Demonstrated technical excellence in one or more of the areas listed above
  • Demonstrated project management experience in one or more of the areas listed above
  • Demonstrated experience and client relationships in the Texas marketplace
  • Demonstrated client service skills
  • Experience mentoring and supervising other engineering professionals
  • Reputation as a high performer
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Civil of Environmental Engineering (or related field)
  • 15+ years' experiencepreferred
  • Professional licensure in additional States along the Gulf Coast
