Overview

The Senior Engineer II – E3 shall provide technical support in the area of HERO certification and Radiation Hazards (RADHAZ) environment characterization of developmental and operational surface vessels, submarines and shore facilities, as well as, surveys conducted to characterize complex cavities of a reverberant nature (magazines and below deck shipboard spaces). The Contractor shall perform RADHAZ assessment surveys to identify all Radio Frequency (RF) hazards to developmental and operational ordnance, personnel, and/or fuel. All emitter systems present on the platforms including stationary, mobile (land and air), and portable transmitters shall be evaluated by the Senior Engineer II – E3 shall provide technical support in the area of HERO to determine if developmental and operational ordnance, personnel or fuel might be exposed to electromagnetic environments (EMEs) that pose a potential hazard.

Develop response to Fleet request to resolve HERO operational concerns
Attend meetings with customer

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

Physical requirements include lifting, climbing, extended sitting or standing, or other physical efforts that are normally required. In addition, visual acuity, hearing and speaking requirements would be considered.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certifications: Electrical Engineering Degree

Experience:

Minimum (8) years of E3 specialized EMC, EMV, or HERO engineering experience
Minimum (2) years of experience preparing E3 technical documents, including test plans/reports, analytical evaluations, and presentations
