Tasks May Include

  • Review and verify energy savings calculations submitted to the APS Solutions for Business program
  • Guide and coach other staff in the best practices for various energy savings technologies including lighting, HVAC, fans, pumps, motors, air compression and industrial process use
  • Conduct outreach and consult with APS Key Account Managers and facility managers on energy efficiency options
  • Plan and deliver presentations at meetings and training events for trade allies and customers, clients, and others. Such presentations will include professional societies including the Association of Energy Engineers, ASHRAE, IES, AIA, IFMA and others
  • Review and approve for payment applications submitted through the program such that such applications will result in the highest possible realization rates
  • Complete technical and financial analyses for the program
  • Prepare reports in accordance with client standards
  • Interact with client
  • Perform site-specific engineering analysis and evaluation of energy efficiency projects and programs involving industrial process equipment, such as pumps, fans and compressed air systems, complex central plant systems and advanced HVAC equipment
  • Perform building energy use assessments and building simulations using software packages such as eQuest, DOE2.2, EnergyPro, etc.
  • Initiates white paper thought leadership; presenting papers and presentations at industry conferences
  • Assist other Senior Engineers in leading a team of other engineers and evaluators and train staff in all the above functions

Position Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree in engineering required
  • 7 years minimum experience in Energy Engineering and Demand Side Management (DSM) required
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 20% of the year
  • Proficiency with database and analysis tools such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint is desired
  • Proficient technical writing skills
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
