We are currently looking for a senior engineer passionate about evolving in the field of bridges and structures to join the team in one of our offices.
What will be your contribution to the team?
Reporting to the team leader for bridges and structures, the senior engineer is responsible for carrying out and developing design, evaluation and inspection mandates or projects in the field of civil engineering structures in order to '' offer professional services and deliverables that meet customer needs and requirements as well as corporate requirements. He will have to perform technical tasks as a designer or inspector and project management tasks as a project manager. He will be called upon to supervise the work of engineers and technicians.
Carry out structural projects in bridges and structures:
Take note of the mandates,
Establish structural solutions to meet the various mandates
Supervise the work of engineers and technicians
Perform structural analysis models and structural calculations
Plan and carry out inspections and damage surveys
Write expert reports
Oversee the preparation of engineering plans and verify these plans
Write quotes
Prepare quantity slips and estimate construction costs for projects
Participate in meetings with clients
Support the team leader and project managers in:
Development of service proposals (establishment of activities, deliverables, schedule, quality control steps and resource requirements)
Planning and resource allocation for these mandates
Preparation of work plans
Maintaining relationships with client representatives
Collaboration between teams and departments
Improving calculation practices and tools
Assume project responsibilities:
Prepare and coordinate the activities, the employees involved in the mandates as well as the various partners
Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure that the services provided meet expectations, to inform them of the evolution of the mandate on the various technical, financial and schedule aspects
Use your experience and expertise to support the client in making these decisions or to clarify these needs.
Monitor mandates to ensure compliance; different contractual conditions; of a high level of quality; timelines; and financial conditions
Participate in the development and advancement of the domain

What are we looking for?
Baccalauré at civil engineering specialization structure
Master's degree in civil engineering specialization in structure (an asset)
Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec
More than 10 years of work experience in the field of bridges and structures (planning, design, inspection)
Have successfully completed the MTQ's structural design, maintenance and inspection training
Have successfully completed various training courses (evaluation, complementary notion of steel inspection, construction, MTQ signaling structure (an asset)
Fluency in French (spoken and written)
Basics in English (spoken and written)
Hold the ASP Construction card
Leadership, professionalism, integrity and excellent organizational skills
