Job Summary:
The
Receiver Exciter and Back End Processing (
REBEP)
Group is seeking a
Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join their team. The team's primary goal is to design, architect, and implement Digital Signal Processing algorithms on a variety of high-performance processing platforms - specifically embedded SOCs, for cutting edge next generation radar systems deployed on land and sea.
This position is an onsite role and will be based in
Marlborough, MA.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Develop embedded C++ implementations of signal processing algorithms and time critical control functions involved in direct control of sensor systems
- Develop robust, scalable, performance driven software to be deployed on large scale computing systems
- Improve code quality by supporting software integration, verification and performing code reviews
- Assist in developing architecture and design of high throughput/high performance computing platforms utilizing general purpose CPUs, FPGAs, and GPUs
- Work with systems, hardware, FPGA, and software engineers to understand end-user requirements and apply implementation on new and established processing platforms
- Requires periodic business travel to other Massachusetts locations
Basic Qualifications:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years' prior work experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum of 3 years' prior work experience.
- 3+ years' of work experience in computer and/or software engineering
- Experience developing embedded applications in C++
- Experience with Linux
- Experience with Matlab
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ARM SoC experience
- HW/SW integration experience
- System integration experience
- Realtime operating systems experience
- Radar domain knowledge
