Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer

  • Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI with Poly
  • Location: Centreville, VA
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Years of Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

Position Overview:

OGSystems is seeking a highly motivated software engineer to work with some of the brightest professionals in the cyber technology field. Bring your passion for embedded software development to create new and innovative solutions on a team that is well-respected by an exciting client. Deliver real-time embedded software components constrained by space, performance, and reliability for multiple platforms. Add new capability to existing software products. Excellent documentation and communication skills are a must as the position requires direct interaction with the software engineering and test teams as well as documenting capabilities for customer presentation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have an ACTIVE TS/SCI with POLY security clearance
  • BS (or MS) in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Math or related field
  • A minimum of 5 years developing embedded software using C or assembly language
  • A minimum of 5 years developing real-time OS based applications (e.g. VxWorks)
  • A minimum of 5 years developing network-based software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of TCP/IP network internals a very strong plus
  • Experience with debugging tools such as IDAPro highly desirable
  • Experience using the gnu tool chain (cross compilers a strong plus)
  • Knowledge of simulators, emulators and logic analyzers desirable
