Senior Electronics Engineer
KBR is looking for qualified candidates to help support the Atlantic Test Ranges (ATR) and Atlantic Targets and Marine Operations (ATMO) team within the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division across the country. Applies electronic engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate electronic components of test and training Range instrumentation systems, data processing systems, communications systems, and display systems. Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation. Applies electronics engineering experience to perform functions such as electronic component integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management. Assigns engineering tasks to junior and journeyman engineers based their capabilities and experience and the complexity of the tasks. Spot checks the quality of the work products and services of journeyman engineers. Senior engineers act as an engineering team leader or supervisor developing engineering procedures and controls, managing project efforts, and taking the lead in problem resolution. Interfaces with system or program contractors, vendors, and Government representatives regarding the technical aspects of engineering programs
MS Degree in an electronics or computer engineering discipline from a school of engineering accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). A minimum of 10 years of work experience in performing the stated or similar function. In lieu of a MS Degree, a BS Degree a total of 14 years of work experience in performing the stated functions.
A minimum of 4 years of work experience with engineering functions as related to development, test, or evaluation of instrumentation systems. Possess an academic and work experience background in such areas as preparation of technical and operational test plans, execution of sophisticated tests, certification of systems, logistic support planning, technical data review, and analytical interpretation of test results. Knowledge of computer systems, software, computer networks, and computer interfacing.
