As Senior Electronics Development Engineer, you will generate robust hardware design and implementation of embedded products used in transit safety and railway maintenance industries.

Critical to success will be the innovative application of technology using problem-solving and communication skills as an individual contributing to the success of the product and the team.

We pride ourselves on safety, on time delivery and quality. In this role, you’ll see your product through its entire lifecycle including manufacturing support, system installation, commissioning and maintenance. And you’ll have some opportunities for software development.

Working under minimal supervision, you’ll design, develop, document, test and debug embedded products. You will improve existing designs by reducing costs and increasing robustness and reliability. You’ll work on documentation for new products (schematics, wiring charts, bill of materials, etc.), and provide updatereports, presentations, and design reviews. In this role, you will contribute to projects that expand product offerings while meeting or exceeding quality and cost targets.


Our qualified candidate will have:

· ABachelor’sdegree in ComputerEngineering, ElectronicEngineering,ElectricalEngineering,ElectricalEngineeringTechnology, or Mechatronics with at least 6years of embedded hardware designexperience


· AAS/HS/GED with 10+ years of embedded hardware design experience


· Experience using design software to generate schematics, such as Altium or ORCAD or other industry standard tools.

Preferredqualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, knowledge of industry standard hardware development principles and practices, familiarity with microprocessor circuit designs, wireless networking design/development experience, CANBus networkexperience (SAE J1939 or CAN Open) or other fieldbus systems would be a plus, knowledge/experience of testing and validation system requirements (such as ESD, FCC, IPC, IEEE, IEC) and some embedded software development experience using C or C++.
