Kforce has a client located in Phoenix, Arizona (AZ) looking for a Senior Electrical Manufacturing Engineer. Summary: This position is responsible for supporting all Manufacturing requirements and all new product transfers, with an emphasis on Electronic products, processes and equipment. Includes designing and implementing manufacturing processes, equipment, and facilities to reduce cost, improve sustainability and develop best practices within the manufacturing process. Essential Duties:

  • Evaluates manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators
  • Assists in the transfer of new products from Engineering to Manufacturing
  • Identifies and develops test equipment requirements, test processes and test results as required for Manufacturing product qualifications
  • Institutes and completes design and development projects
  • Performs product and process validations; Protocol and report writing
  • Supports Quality System requirements throughout the business
  • Promotes continuous improvement by supporting and / or participating in Lean Kaizen events
  • Works with equipment and customer returns to identify and correct product issues
  • Utilizes root cause analysis to solve to eliminate problems
  • Works to improve safety, quality, delivery, and reduce cost by eliminating all forms of manufacturing waste
  • Helps to foster a culture of quality by working with Quality and Engineering to ensure quality is designed into products and assembly processes
  • Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements
  • Prepares production reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends as needed


  • BSEE
  • 5-7 years of manufacturing engineering experience
  • Experience designing and conducting tests for product reliability and quality studies
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams for problem resolution and engaging others at all levels in the organization in a manner which facilitates collaboration in problem-solving
  • Experience with SolidWorks CAD (modeling, dimensioning and drawing) is a plus but not required
  • Microsoft OS and Office Suite, and MRP systems
  • Experience developing manufacturing capabilities including capital procurement, process development, standard work development and workforce training
  • Expertise in the use of commonly used manual and electronic assembly and measurement tools (such as micrometers, oscilloscopes, DVM's, calipers, height gages, etc.)
  • Knowledge of materials and their properties, especially Aluminum, Steel and Stainless Steel, Copper, Brass and plastics
  • Working knowledge of Lean Standard Work methodologies
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics
  • Ability to create manufacturing processes
