Responsibilities

Procure and configure networking components
Design, engineer, and maintain a baseline network architecture
Interact with technical team members from multiple organizations in a team environment
Maintain systems and documentation as needed for audits and compliance

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
10 years’ experience in secure network design and component configuration
Experience with network architecture and design, network management, monitoring and protection, network infrastructure development
Deep understanding in the theory and implementation of network routing and transport protocols, systems, and standards with the ability to derive operational implications
Knowledge of IP network transport & security: CCNA and Network or Security + preferred
Demonstrated ability to complete tasks, drive projects to closure, assimilate and correlate project information in a fast-paced environment and incorporate them into coherent test strategies
Demonstrated ability to shift from one project to another in a dynamic work environment
Ability to communicate technical approaches and details within small project teams, including team interaction and presentations

Qualifications Desired:

Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Strong desire to keep technical skills current and remain abreast of emerging technologies, new versions of existing solutions
Experience with Network Emulators simulating multi-node network traffic and effects on software
Experience developing in an environment running the Linux Operating System
Experience remotely troubleshooting network issues over the phone

Clearance Requirements: Only candidates who currently possess an active Top Secret clearance will be considered. Clearance must be at least 1 year away from next 5 year update.

Travel Requirements:

Travel up to 10 percent of the time is required with durations ranging from overnight to several weeks.
