Summary:

IAA is hiring for a Senior Network Engineer to join the team at our corporate headquarters in Westchester, IL (near Oakbrook). This position reports to the Network and Telecommunications Manager. This role will implement and provide support for LAN/WAN architectures that include hardware and software methodologies. Perform all duties assigned by the Network Manager.

We have exclusive focus on the automotive total-loss industry and over 150 corporate owned facilities across the United States and Canada. We provide Sellers and Buyers with the best solution to process and acquire total-loss, recovered-theft, fleet lease, dealer trade-in and collision damaged rental vehicles.

Key responsibilities are:

  • Be a technical lead within the network engineering team
  • Review LAN/WAN performance to ensure service level agreements are met. Identify solutions to address services not meeting SLAs.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Design, implement, and support new network solutions into the environment
  • Identify and resolve network problems using the appropriate tools and methodology
  • Provide tactical support and tactical supervision on projects involving the analysis, design, and support of networks and systems.
  • Take part in on-call rotation
  • Partner with change control to insure change control practices are met.
  • Assist in the development of documentation and user guides

Other:

The successful candidate must have a solid working knowledge of routing principles and protocols and an in depth understanding of data communications protocol and LAN/WANtechnologies. The Senior Network Engineer should have experience with intermediate firewall technology, load balancers, protocol analyzers, and proper ticket management and communication skills

The ideal candidate will have:

Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, or related field or equivalent education and experience with a minimum of five (5) years global network engineering experience.
