Principal duties and responsibilities

  • Certified Network Expert demonstrated by a combination of work experience, training and certification programs.

  • Hands-on experience in BGP, OSPF, CISCO ACI, Nexus NXOS, IOS, IOS-XE, F5-LTM,GTM,APM,AFM and ASM, Cisco ASA Firewalls, Nexus Switches, ASR Routers, Cisco 4500x switches, and IPSEC VPN

  • Strong foundation in multi-tenancy data center environments.

  • Work experience in Cloud Multi-Tenancy environment.

  • Research, design, engineer, monitor and support the implementation of network solutions for the organization.

  • Identify network and network security deficiencies or gaps and design cost-effective solutions to mitigate them.

  • Document network standards, solutions, data flows, procedures, and other technical information as directed.

  • Contribute to automation and facilitation of network solutions and services combined.

  • Provides expert technical advice to technical staff within the appropriate technical discipline.

  • Availability to work on-call and non-standard hours when necessary.

  • Provide management level updates as required.

  • Mentor other members of the technical staff.

  • Good understanding in Cross platform Virtualization and Cloud technologies

  • Service Automation, Orchestration engines – nice to have


  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Cloud and enterprise class security environments.

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a technology field, or equivalent experience required.

  • Experience with Network technologies and services including network firewalls (Cisco Firepower and ASA, F5-WAF, and AFM), load balancers (F5-LTM and GTM), SSL VPN (F5- APM), Switches (Cisco Nexus (ACI/NXOS), Cisco IOS based), routers (Cisco IOS-XE and IOS based), intrusion detection and prevention (IDS/IPS), packet capture and analysis.

  • Strong Experience with BGP, OSPF routing protocols

  • Solid understanding and hands on experience with Cisco ACI and Nexus 9000 series, Cisco ASR series

  • Experience on Network APIs, APIC Controller/Network Orchestrator.

  • Experience implementing multi-tenancy using VRFs, Private VLANs, Tenant/EPG/Bridge groups

  • Experience installing and supporting IPSEC VPN, Point to point circuits (Ethernet & MPLS)

  • Experience with Radius, TacACS+, Logging, SNMP Monitoring, and RMON.

  • Experience with IDS/IPS deployment and management.

  • Experience with Matrix Switches and Taps.

  • Solid understanding of Vmware NSX, Virtual Switches and hypervisors.

  • Experience with Cisco ASA Firewalls and Firepower ASA Firewalls.

  • Some Experience with scripting languages such as; Perl, Python, PHP, Bash, or PowerShell.

  • Cloud service provider experience - preferable

  • Strong hands on experience, successful implementation and management of carrier grade network and security deployments and support.

  • Strong hands on experience with Cloud base infrastructure.

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

  • Able to conduct research into data center infrastructure issues and products as required

  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail, and proven analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Able to effectively prioritize tasks when under pressure

  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
