Job Description
IPG Photonics is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our growing IT team and work in a fast-paced, dynamic, high-tech manufacturing company. As a senior network engineer, you will help design, maintain, and secure our global network infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a flexible, driven, and diligent worker that is able to analyze the network both as a whole and in detail to provide seamless connectivity and security.
Duties:
- Design enterprise WAN connectivity and architecture in conjunction with global network team
- Implement, document, and troubleshoot Cisco network devices and services (e.g. firewalls, switches, VPN)
- Implement and maintain Cisco phone and teleconferencing
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, hot fixes, and security configurations
- Work with enterprise security team to select, implement, and enforce network security systems, tools, policies, and procedures
- Work with vendors to procure network equipment, WAN circuits, and services
- Produce and maintain documentation for existing and new network layouts
- Provide support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
- Coordinate with vendors and other IT personnel including global staff for problem resolution

Requirements
- Expertise in Cisco IOS, TCP/IP, Ethernet and Fiber-optic networks is required
- 7+ years experience with at least three of the following required: Cisco 2960 series switches, Cisco 9200 series switches, Palo Alto Firewalls, Nexus 5000 or 9000 series switches, Cisco Unified Communication Systems, Cisco Wireless Controllers, Palo Alto GlobalProtect VPN
- Experience with the following technologies will be preferred: Cisco ISE, Cisco DNA Center, Cisco Webex, Cisco UCCX, Analog Voice Systems(paging, alarms, etc), DHCP, DNS
- Enterprise network environment experience required
- Manufacturing environment experience preferred
- CCNA or higher required
- Must be available to work after hours and weekends
- Must have good communication and customer support skills
- Some travel(10%) may be required
