Reporting to the Network Operations Manager, the Senior Network Engineer will provide Level 2 & 3 network support to the business and manage the implementation of critical Network Communication Infrastructure with a concentration in voice; support network systems and recommend resources required to maintain and/or expand service levels; provide and/or assist in the resolution of complex systems, security, and network problems utilizing expertise in field concepts, practices and procedures; perform intermediate/advanced level network support tasks; and implementation of new infrastructure related systems. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Resolve problems reported by end users for voice communications, local and wide area networks, personal computers and networking equipment (switches, routers, etc.)
  • Provides answers to complex questions related to above systems
  • Establish local standards and procedures adhering to corporate standards
  • Create and maintain documentation of the network infrastructure, servers and applications
  • Establish and maintain contact with vendors for infrastructure maintenance, support and problem resolution.
  • Perform day-to-day administrative tasks and support the people and equipment for physical locations and surrounding locations
  • Up to 10% travel to various locations


  • Bachelor's degree in technology field or voice-data related IT certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting voice-data and network systems with 3 years’ experience in a senior role.
  • Knowledge of the operation and support of local area networks and wide area networks.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot technical and network-related problems within the voice and data networks.
  • Ability to develop, execute and lead formal project plans, prioritize and work independently on multiple on-going projects/tasks.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to effectively communicate with business partners on optimal technical solutions for projects related to network LAN/WAN including voice communications.
  • Ability to perform network management, analysis, and planning.
  • Research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software.
  • Recommend changes throughout the network keeping up to date with current industry trends and new technologies.
  • Team oriented and ability to mentor other network engineers.
  • Monitor, support, test, and evaluate network systems including LAN/WAN, Internet, Intranet, and other data communications systems.
  • High degree of creativity and latitude required.
  • Results-oriented with an execution mindset.
