Senior Network Engineer

The Opportunity

Provides production and project support to all Delaware North’s properties within the region. Assists in the planning and evaluation of existing and new network systems and makes recommendations to maintain and expand business and guest service levels. Provides resolution for break-fix network problems as well as design and implementation to improve LAN/WANinfrastructure and reliability. Responsible for design, installation, configuration, maintenance and documentation of network systems and solutions and technical support for Production and Projects.

  • Provide day-to-day IT operational and break-fix support for networks including Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, APs, VoIP, MPLS and broadband circuits, VPN tunnels
  • and uphold best practices and policies for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshootingnetwork hardware, software, and peripheral devices in accordance with IT policies and procedures
  • Assist with evaluation, standardization, deployment, maintenance and documentation of new solutions
  • Regular review and scheduling of firmware updates, preventative maintenance, cyclical replacements and upgrades, and security of all network devices
  • Create, update, maintain network diagrams for all sites
  • Provide remote and on-site support, including weekends and after regular business hours, as needed for all locations within the Parks Mountain Region
  • Regular collaboration with Home Office and Parks Subsidiary IT teams
  • Uphold PCI and other compliance standards
  • Adhere to Change Management policies and procedures
  • Maintain procedural and organizational documentation, including IT asset management and tracking
  • Respond to service desk tickets with timely updates, completion and escalation when necessary
  • Utilize IT tools such as Confluence and JIRA for team collaboration and change management
  • Exposure to confidential systems and security information requires mandatory compliance with Delaware North’s Corporate and IT policies and procedures

To succeed in the role you will have:

  • Bachelor’sDegree in Computer Science, Information Systems or closely related field. Appropriate Certifications and relatedexperience may be substituted foreducation.
    • CCNA required
    • Training and real life experience with Cisco networktechnologies including firewall, routers, switches, VPN, VoIP and Call Manager required
  • Requires self-motivated individual that can take the initiative to solve networking problems and work with minimal direction
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of telecommunications, network and PC operating systems
  • Proven experience in IT infrastructure deployment, setup and testing
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills also required
  • Must be able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Production systems support requires work schedule flexibility and periodic on-call status is required
  • Strong attention to detail and customer service orientation
  • Must adhere to Delaware North’s customer service and environmental standards
