Job Description:

  • Work independently to provide architecture-level (technical) oversight for multiple projects; work with project lead engineers to ensure engineering designs are sound and fit overall architectural concepts.  Also provide full implementation follow-through and documentation requirements.
  • Plan, design and engineer scalable, redundant IP multi-protocol solutions required to support project requirements
  • Work with project lead engineers to ensure project schedules are being met and identify any constraints/concerns and brief those findings to high-level management, the customer, etc.
  • Ensure technical documents are developed and adhere to strict output specifications, meet project requirements, and written at an high engineering level
  • Must be committed to the highest standard of customer service with outstanding oral and written communication – must provide example(s) of written communication skills
  • Provide Tier III support for staff; may require after-hours, phone or on-site support
  • Coordinate vendor support and evaluate products and recommend purchases consistent with the organization’s short and long-term objectives
  • Support customer (technical) meetings and ensure compliance with project requirements and overall architectural design
  • Work with Proposal team to provide support for new business – requirements translation, technical oversight, costing, and evaluation.  Includes writing technical portions for Statements of Work, creating Bill of Material, and/or otherrequired documents (slide presentations, etc.)
  • Knowledge of DISA STIG process/requirements
  • Provide training/guidance for junior engineers


  • 10+ years experience with BS/BA (Bachelors) or equivalent
  • DOD 8570 IAT Level II, IAM Level II, or IASAE Level II or higher certification required – includes Security+ w/ CE, GSEC, SSCP, CISA, GCIH, GCED, CISSP, CASP, CAP, GSLC, CISM, or CSSLP

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Vendor certifications (i.e. Cisco, Juniper, etc.) in routing and switching, firewall, and/or othernetwork disciplines
  • Project leadership/project experiencepreferred
  • Technical skills in areas of networkengineering, storage/SAN engineering, and/or system engineering
  • Previous experience supporting government and/or Department of Defense customers
  • Experience with SENSOR operations is highly desirable
  • Architecture Certification
  • Knowledge of Mode 1 and ADCCP protocols/communication
