This Technical Specialist will install, configure and maintain networks and corporate infrastructures, providing 1st level support over the phone and on-site with customers.

Requirements for the role of Junior Network Engineer:

  • Install, configure and maintain networks and corporate infrastructures.
  • Provide 1st level support over the phone and on-site with customers.
  • Works directly withother technical specialists and with clients to provide solutions.
  • Provide emergency cover for customer issues (rotation over the weekend with current team)
  • Travel to client offices to perform troubleshooting, IT Support, Hardware/Software assistance.
  • Work on several internal projects- As directed by the Dir. of Technical Services.
  • Contribute ideas around processes and business improvement.

Requirements for the role of Junior Network Engineer:

  • 5+ years of experience in networking, server and PC support.
  • Hardware knowledge (Servers, Workstations, SAN, Switches, Firewalls)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Superior troubleshooting capabilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills, communication, leadership ability, teamwork and positive attitude
  • Experience using a Help Desk ticket tracking system
  • Ability to learn new Software tools
  • Office 365Experience
  • Experiencewith building network environments (Servers, Switches, Firewalls, Routers)
  • Virtualization experience (VMware, Hyper-V, SAN)
  • Backup & Disaster Recovery experience (DATTO, Barracuda, etc)
  • Strong customer focus
  • Networking experience (VLAN, Troubleshooting, Etc)
  • Strong Server experience (Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016)
  • Linux experience a plus
