Sr. Director, Quality Assurance – Dallas, Texas

Join a top team in this growing $5B publicly traded industrial giant with products and services for the energy, transportation, chemical, and construction sectors. The role of Sr. Director of Quality Assurance, develops and implements vision and strategy for a transformational total quality management system (QMS) approach for manufacturing plants including systems, processes, technology, programs, people training and communication. 


•                    Develop and implement vision and strategy as stated above

•                    Evaluate existing organizational and programmatic elements of quality control, quality assurance and compliance and develop a road map to execute the vision and strategy

•                    Establish and embed a quality culture mindset throughout the organization and partner with production, supply chain, and engineering

•                    Ensure compliance with applicable internal/external regulations, standards, policies, and procedures related to the quality and regulatory status and performance of company

•                    Initiates and implements quality improvement activities as appropriate (e.g., Kaizen, Six Sigma) to raise the performance of the company’s product lines

•                    Educates and trains employees as to their impact in the quality management system

•                    Be the primary resource for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement

•                    Manages quality control personnel on a day-to-day basis

•                    Supports concurrent engineering efforts representing quality assurance and the customer

•                    Designs, implements and documents procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection and the establish and implement metrics

•                    Performs root-cause analysis to identify effective corrective actions and process improvements

•                    Analyzes customers’ product specifications to establish efficient, cost-effective requirements for ease of manufacture and reproducibility and develops quality planning methods for all product lines

•                    Interacts with customers and suppliers to identify opportunities to improve quality and establish feedback with manufacturing and development personnel

Required Experience:

•                    Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering or other related field

•                    Minimum of 10 years of senior quality assurance experience in systems implementation and management

•                    Demonstrated knowledge of FRA regulations a plus

•                    Proven leadership skills with strong business acumen and personal effectiveness/credibility

•                    Excellent management skills; able to lead, direct, empower, support, encourage the development of the team Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

•                    Self-starter, able to work autonomously, and motivate the team to ensure timely achievement of objectives
