  • Manage and lead the team of Project Control specialists across the Infrastructure business including change, scheduling, cost control and document management
  • Develop and implement project controls policies, processes and procedures to ensure contract compliance and ensure timely and accurate reporting internally on cost, schedule and project status
  • Work with business units to develop processes appropriate to their business
  • Development of ERP solutions and processes appropriate to the Infrastructure businesses
  • Support change management with appropriate schedule and cost analysis
  • Advise on project controls strategy for successful project execution
  • Implement Earned Value Management systems
  • Assist in the development of training, competency profiles and career development of Project Controls staff
  • Input into bid phases including review of Project Control requirements
  • Participate in developing and maintaining the company’s Project Control systems
  • Lead/participate in Project start-up activities

RequiredKnowledge & Skills

  • Sound understanding of major infrastructure Project Control needs
  • Previous experience of fixed price Major Projects (over $500m) in a senior level
  • Ability to develop appropriate Project Control systems on complex projects to provide accurate data to assist decision making
  • Claims experience in substantiating cost and schedule impact on major projects of a complex nature
  • Experienced in various procurement methods including Design Build and Bid Build in both lump sum or unit rate arrangement
  • Thorough knowledge of P6, and integration with SAP ERP systems
  • Understanding of Hard Dollar estimating packages an asset
  • Thorough knowledge of implementation of Earned Value Management systems on complex fixed price contracts, with demanding client reporting requirements
  • Able to command the respect of Executives and JV Partners on Project Control matters
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent people and leadership skills
  • Ability to liaise with internal and external legal counsel and experts
  • Enthusiastic team player
  • Travel will be required
  • Currently operating at senior level within a major Infrastructureconstruction company
  • Minimum of 20years Project Controls experience on major projects working for a major Contractor
  • Proven track record on delivering Project Controls success on major infrastructure schemes of a fixed price nature
  • Experienced in working in Joint Venture’s with international partners
  • EngineeringDegree or equivalent
