As the Senior Director of Productivity and Global Transformation at Diabetes, you will evaluate the current state and unleash the full potential of the business. Your role entails developing a comprehensive opportunity strategy that drives operational efficiency, process improvements, and global transformation initiatives. Your ultimate objective is to enhance the productivity of Medtronic's products, services, and processes while optimizing the overall performance of the Diabetes division.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional leaders to develop and execute a comprehensive productivity and global transformation strategy aligned with the Diabetes OU strategic priorities.
  • Process Optimization: Establish a Diabetes OU Operating system and identify areas for step change improvement across the business global. Implement strategies in digital technology, product innovation, operations, commercial, supply chain, and service delivery processes to streamline operations, reduce costs, and increase overall efficiency.
  • Change Management: Lead global transformational initiatives by effectively communicating the vision, goals, and benefits of proposed changes to various stakeholders across the organization. Drive and oversee the adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Utilize data analysis and metrics to assess performance, identify bottlenecks, and measure the impact of productivity improvement initiatives. Use these insights to make informed decisions, drive continuous improvement, and identify indicators for future improvement opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster a collaborative culture by working closely with cross-functional teams, including product innovation, quality, digital technology marketing, sales, operations, commercial and finance align efforts and optimize interdepartmental processes.


Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 15+ years of experience in strategic planning, operations management, process improvement, and/or transformational leadership (Or Advanced Degree with 13+ years) including 10+ years of managerial experience


Nice to Have

· Experience in in the healthcare or medical device industry

· Change management expertise with a track record of successfully implementing transformational initiatives including Lean and Six Sigma tools and techniques

· Results-oriented, with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes and driving continuous improvement

· Strong execution skills turn strategy into tactics and results

· Deliver on financial and strategic commitments

· Demonstrable leadership skills and ability to collaborate with energy, motivation, determination, and a passion technology and life sciences

· Strong leadership skills; track record of being a talent magnet and managing geographically distributed teams

· Comfortable in influence and consulting roles and leadership

· Familiarity with agile systems, lean-agile understanding, and have worked in an agile environment including stand ups, story points/backlogs, burndown charts/velocity

The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
