Job Title   

 Senior Director, Pharmacy Contracting and Sales
Position Summary     

    Negotiates pharmacy benefit management (PBM) agreements for retail/mail order/specialty pharmacy services for commercial lines of business.
    Directs pharmacy sales, renewal activities/requests for proposal preparation/current, prospective group presentations/consulting with groups on alternative benefit designs.
    Monitors contract compliance/financial terms/state, federal regulatory requirements and performance guarantees specific to clinical operational activities.

Required Education     

    Bachelor's degree in a job-related field.


    Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, economics or mathematics.

Required Work Experience     

    Ten-plus years of progressively complex health care network development experience in health plan sales, health plan provider contracting, PBM consulting, PBM sales/account management or PBM contracting/oversight; two of the 10 years must be pharmacy contracting experience.

    Seven years of management experience in negotiating and maintaining network contracts for health plan sales, health plan provider contracting, PBM consulting, PBM sales/account management or PBM contracting/oversight, OR

    Seven years of equivalent military experience in grade E4 or above (can be concurrent).
