Position Summary:

Advanced Cell Diagnostics, a Bio-Techne Brand, has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Director, Product Management & Marketing basedin our Newark, CA office. As the Senior Director you will provide leadership and execution for the Product Management & Marketing Team.

Position Description:

The Senior Director of Product Management & Marketing develops product and market strategy, product definition, positioning, and product lifecycle management that position the company to achieve long term growth, while meeting annual revenue and profitability goals. Responsibilities also include developing marketing plans and market research, leading new product development teams, managing inventory, pricing, product configuration, customer communications and revenue forecasts. Continually identify and assess new markets, product and technology opportunities and ensure resources are in place to drive marketing/product strategy and capitalize on opportunities.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Serve as a key and active member of the senior management operating team
    • Provide leadership for the development of global strategic marketing plans including objectives and strategy for targeted markets
    • Deep understanding of traditional strategic marketing tools including Pricing and Positioning
    • Drive efforts with product and business development to define an overall product and technology portfolio strategy that willdrive the long-term growth of the organization
    • Ensure the development of all strategic product roadmaps and corresponding marketing plans
    • Lead the process for the continuous evaluation of trends and adjust strategy to capitalize on shifts in the marketplace. Including the process of obtaining and disseminating competitive intelligence across all markets and product lines
    • Analyze existing product and markets in terms of the ability to compete, gain market share, grow revenue and sustain or grow profitability
    • Monitors business metrics in regard to revenues, profitability, market share and product portfolio mix. Communicate these metrics to the senior management team
    • Collaborate with Sales, Business Development and OEM to define effective sales channels of all products
    • Establish effective relationship with the sales force with leadership, training, pricing and positioning expertise
    • Establish metrics for the measurement of marketing program effectiveness
    • Develop and manage the marketing budget
    • Responsible (in collaboration with sales) for the development of the company’s revenue forecast
    • Develop and provide leadership for a high performing product management team to drive the execution of strategic marketing plans for meeting ACD’s overall business objectives
    • Responsible for the overall management of the marketing/product team providing coaching, leadership and assistance withresources and strategy development

Qualifications


Minimum

  1. Required Education & Experience:
    • BA/BS Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business or related field
    • 10+ years sales & marketing experience in a life sciences technology driven company
    • 5+ years in a leadership position
    • Experience in strategic planning and collaboration with executive, sales, product development and key operational groups
    • Proven record of leadership and managing a marketing organization with global responsibility and establishing long termstrategic growth initiatives
    • Proven success and track record as an individual contributor and manager who has grown top line results
  2. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    • High level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness with strong work ethic and the ability to workindependently with minimal direction
    • Excellent communications and presentation skills
    • Ability to develop and manage at high performance team focused on accountability and meeting and exceeding expectations
    • Strategic, critical but creative thinker, strong business sense and excellent financial skills
    • Ability to lead, create and work within cross-functional team environments
    • Senior level product marketing professional with a proven track record of success managing complex multi discipline sales scenarios

Preferred:

    • MBA or other relevant advanced degree
    • Experience in a clinical and regulated environment
    • Sales background a plus
