Position Overview:
Our Senior Director of Product Curriculum and Assessment will help lead in delivering a rich, interactive, and immersive learning experience to our language learners worldwide. An ideal candidate will leverage Rosetta Stone’s ability to blend self-paced course instruction with human instruction to deliver a more personalized, relevant learning experience. We are looking for someone who can help enhance the educational foundation of our products to deliver a highly effective learning approach while keeping learners engaged and motivated to achieve their language learning goals. Candidates should be highly motivated, mission driven, and aligned to Rosetta Stone’s teaching methodology.
Core Responsibilities:
- Define the educational product road map for design of content curriculum and implementation of all Language Products, outlining near and long term product goals
- Drive our Adaptive Blended Learning model of language education, leveraging AI/ML or other advanced technologies to enhance our language assessment and instruction programs
- Use and embed our assessment capabilities into the curriculum to aid in delivering a personalized, adaptive learning experience to learners
- Create and manage new learning methods to modify or enhance our Immersive learning methodology
- Assess common language standards and learning guidelines and develop and integrate those into our core learning platform and ancillary learning activities
- Rapidly iterate upon feedback and results to enhance our learning and teaching methods
- Become the key Subject Matter Expert for our products and gather insights by engaging with customers and learners as well thought leaders and industry experts
- Collaborate across teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality course content
- Build a diverse and inclusive team and culture as you hire, train, coach, and mentor your curriculum, content, and assessment teams
- Partner and collaborate with key internal teams (Product Management, Engineering, Research, and Success organizations) to provide focus for the educational needs/perspective of a language learner
Qualifications:
- MA in applied linguistics, language studies, second language studies, instructional design, education, or a related field
- At least 8 years of experience working in industry in an education-related field (e.g., education technology, publishing)
- Over 5 years of experience in curriculum development or product management, preferably in the EdTech space
- Over 3 years leadership and people management experience
- Strong expertise in second language pedagogy and curriculum development
- Excellent project management skills and experience leading large-scale projects, especially in educational content creation
