Job Description

Job Summary:

The Senior Director of New Product Sales is responsible for management and execution of all aspects of the centralized quoting function. The Senior Director of New Product Sales oversees the New Product Sales team.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • New Product Sales
    • Oversees and directly facilitates as needed the centralized quoting function and quoting strategy for the company
    • Oversees and directly manages and provides the necessary guidance to the vertical directors within the New Product Sales team
    • Coordinates with the Sales Directors and respective Outside Sales Team on determination to quote/no-quote request for quotes (RFQ's)
    • Coordinates with the Sales Directors on quoting strategy and pricing while effectively managing quoted product margins
    • Ensures the New Product Sales team facilitates an effective hand-off with the Business Execution team for order entry, job creation, and any required buyouts
  • Other
  • Executes a strategy to incorporate additional product lines into the New Product Sales Team as required
  • Acts as escalated point of contact for customers when required
  • Evaluates market trends and gathers competitive information, identify trends that affect current and future growth of regional sales and profitability.


Positional Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Education & Experience
  • 5 years' minimum industry experience
  • 2 or more years' project management experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
    • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills & Abilities
    • Language Skills- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
    • Reasoning Ability- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
    • Computer Skills- Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products, working knowledge of ORACLE preferred.
    • Information needed to perform the responsibilities, such as knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, basic knowledge of Oracle, etc.
    • Highly organized
    • Effective time-management
    • Detail-oriented
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, technical, and presentation skills
  • Must be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance to company driving guidelines
  • Clear background check and drug and alcohol screening

Essential Physical Functions:
  • Lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Bending, stooping, ability to stand for extended periods of time
