Provides leadership and direction in Global Supplier Management & Device Sourcing amounting to a $0.5B+ in annual spend. This includes leading analysis activities around: market landscape by supplier, cost and cost modeling of managed products/services while also building competitive intelligence on technology and sourcing trends as well as Asurions’ clients and competitors.
Owns price negotiations with the supply base. Provides Direction respect to all negotiations and negotiating teams around contractual terms and conditions, pricing, service levels, and repair agreements to minimize the Total Cost of Ownership with suppliers. Acts as the point of accountability for escalation and arbitration for supplier related issues.
Explore repair and sourcing strategic alternatives related to localized supply chains to take advantage of lowest cost regions (e.g. Asia, Mexico)
Establish clear performance metrics (scorecards) for each supplier. Create contractual service levels and metrics that drive performance and financial responsibility.
Direct quarterly business reviews to review performance, opportunities and identify corrective action plans where improvements are needed.
Fosters productive relationship building between Asurion and supplier’s teams, from senior leadership to daily account team to ensure timely and competitive support from OEMs.
Works in collaboration with internal organizations to develop processes that govern interaction with supplier, monitoring and ensuring proper compliance with agreed upon processes and policies. Also, audits, monitors and ensures that all activities related to sourcing are in full compliance with all procurement policies and procedures.
Leads team responsible for operational activities related to Supplier Management including communication and issue resolution between Asurion and suppliers, which may include weekly cross-functional team calls to ensure proper and timely communication and active monitoring of supplier performance.
