Pocket.watch is currently seeking an enthusiastic Senior Director of Ad Operations to build and manage all facets of media operations across our digital platforms. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of relevant ad operations experience, enjoys leading and building media teams and processes, and has a great understanding of cross-platform digital media campaigns. The role is responsible for building and managing the ad operations team to ensure the smooth launch, execution and reporting on all direct sold media campaigns across YouTube, mobile gaming, and OTT inventory, as well as setting up and managing programmatic partnerships across a growing off-YouTube media business. The Sr. Director of Ad Operations will support all facets of the department, work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal workflow and scalable solutions to grow revenue generated by both direct sold campaigns and ad network waterfalls, and create a frictionless campaign experience for both clients and consumers. This role is expected to begin as a remote position and will transition to an in-office position when our business offices reopen.
Monitor and lead ad operations team to ensure video ads are being properly delivered without any latency or reporting discrepancies between parties.
Collaborate with clients and agencies to ensure tags are working properly across all campaigns.
Work closely with Sales team to ensure all direct-sold campaigns deliver in full on schedule.
Work closely with Sales, Finance, and Programming Teams to ensure streamlined approach to campaign sell-in, reporting, and execution.
Develop processes to streamline communication between Ad Sales and Ad Operations to ensure comprehensive understanding and execution of campaigns.
Implement scalable solutions for ad stacks that prioritize direct-sold campaigns and efficient waterfalls via 3rd party networks.
Execute ad-hoc troubleshooting requests from both internal and external partners.
Work closely with Channels group on new ad code rollout and deployments across devices, channels and OEM.
Monitor ad yield and identify areas of improvement.
Troubleshoot issues with ad tags and work to resolve.
Provide weekly and monthly reports on campaign actuals.
Plan and forecast across all media platforms as well as generate proactive reports showing inventory avails.
Source and manage relationships with 3rd party demand partners.
Manage inventory quality and work with 3rd party verification companies.
Prioritize work, understanding inbound requests and upcoming deadlines across the business.
Create best practices in the department to scale the on-boarding, testing and deployment of channel partners.
Meet deadlines and partner timeline expectations.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Knowledge and Experience
7-10 years of relevant work experience.
3-4 years training and managing media operations and trafficking teams.
Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred.
Experience in YouTube arbitrage strategy, including setting up, managing, and reporting on contextually targeted auction campaigns across designated YouTube channels.
Experience running 100% SOV roadblock campaigns across YouTube channels.
Experience resolving trafficking issues ranging from campaign disapproval by Google to campaigns under delivering to reporting discrepancies with 3rd party tags.
Experience implementing brand lift studies via Google as well as 3rd party research firms.
Experience setting up and managing ad network waterfalls and programmatic media for both OTT and mobile gaming.
Experience implementing SDKs and programmatic end points with direct publishers, OEMs and programmatic platforms
Proven experience in programmatic marketplace trafficking, configuration, troubleshooting and optimizing ad tags in SSPs and DSPs
Experience sourcing and implementing 3rd party demand partners to supplement the ad waterfall
Experience managing external partners, such as 3rd party demand and other ad stack partners

Expertise in YouTube video ad serving platforms Adwords and Google Ads Manager.
Expertise in Reserve Media and Google Ads Manager. Ability to forecast, set up, and manage reserve campaigns across specific channels.

Ability to communicate with external teams and generate client-facing reports/communication.
Expertise in trafficking and managing direct-sold media campaigns across multiple OTT platforms (ROKU, SamsungTV+, Xumo) as well as owned and operated CTV and mobile apps.

Demonstrated strong strategic and analytical planning and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to cultivate relationships and negotiate with internal clients.
The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and work is performed in a business office environment.
