Senior Director IT, Engineering

You are a strong Engineering leader who can shift IT’s approach to Engineering and enable this centralized Engineering model to deliver optimized, Agile technologies for our customer facing apps, Product Development team and our Operations organization.
Responsibilities:
Leadership role that brings modernized engineering development methodologies to transform and upskill our engineering workforce with more cloud-native application development practices.
Collaborate with partners, and internal stakeholders to develop and drive Engineering strategy. Partner with peer organizations to develop long term strategic technology plans. Work with Product Engineering to drive common enterprise technology standards and roadmaps.
Will provide strategic leadership on DIH and API enabling the corporate systems infrastructure to accelerate Equinix’s digital transformation.
Will manage engineering for Horizon and other strategic platforms like JARVIS, Mendix, Integration, Mobile Apps and help streamline our Siebel platform
Streamline and deliver greater efficiency in the engineering organization, both in software development and operational activities. Drive continuous systems improvement for managing, documenting, staffing, and reviewing engineering projects and services. Reflect best practices back into our products and recommendations for implementations
Leading the development of engineering talent in line with modern technologies i.e. Cloud first technologies.
Rearchitect/build a global engineering team that optimizes time to value, delivery and cost.
Qualifications:
15+ years of IT Enterprise Applications development experience around customer facing applications, product development and operations preferred
10+ years of progressive management experience that has resulting in running a large (200+) applications engineering team preferred
Established record of strong technical leadership in a high-performing, large-scale technology company Experience with modern technology stack in the areas of Cloud, API, Microservices and re-platforming
Proven success in developing teams that work on large scale data infrastructure and demonstrated engineering excellence
Exposure to technology transformations, championing changes across various software development life cycles including Agile, DevSecOps and SRE
Ability to collaborate well with the Product, CTO and CIO teams
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
