This position is responsible for leading and advancing the ongoing development and implementation of Diversity, Inclusion & Corporate Social Responsibility strategies which are critical to Quest Diagnostics’ business strategy, in partnership with executive, business, regional and HR leadership. 

S/He collaborates with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the goals of the Diversity, Inclusion and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) plan of action are aligned with the organization's mission and serves the needs of the business and stakeholders.  This position serves as the subject-matter expert responsible for ensuring that the Company achieves substantive improvements in its ongoing commitment to become a more diverse, inclusive, sustainable, and socially responsible company.  The position leads a team of 1 – 3 employees.



Establishing the culture at Quest to develop, champion and promote a diversity and inclusive workforce at all levels of the organization and position the Company as an employer of choice who values the unique, individual contributions of its employees.  Collaborate with and influence HR Centers of Excellence to:

  • Create a strategic plan for Diversity/Inclusion & CSR that represents the input from senior management, employees and best practices for Fortune 500 companies. Gain alignment and implement that plan with the key stakeholders.

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and Organization Development Teams to establish and implement plans to improve recruitment and development plans to increase representation and retention of diverse talent.

  • Ensure compliance with Affirmative Action Plans.


Harness the unique mix of abilities, talents, cultures, beliefs and experiences of our employees to create an inspiring and inclusive workplace and drive engagement, retention, and innovation.  Collaborate and influence Leadership and other key stakeholders to:

  • Build accountability for diversity and inclusion with business leaders enterprise-wide to demonstrate buy-in and commitment from leadership.

  • Organically integrate Unconscious Bias and Cultural Competence curriculum into employee t

  • Oversee the Employee Business Leader networks and promote them to champion an inclusive and inspiring workplace.


Provide leadership to evolve the culture at Quest Diagnostics to create and deliver products and solutions that reflect the preferences, needs and values of a diverse consumer base and empower better health outcomes while driving desired business outcomes.  Collaborate with and influence internal stakeholders to:

  • Develop, implement, and optimize external partnerships with professional associations as well as charitable and civic organizations to enhance our reputation with emerging markets, identify untapped business opportunities and drive progress toward achieving desired business outcomes.

  • Cultivate external partnerships to improve Quest’s recognition for diversity/inclusion and CSR and improve its expand brand presence to become a trusted resource in the diverse markets it serves.

  • Develop a supply chain strategy that supports innovative ways to deliver best-in-class services while partnering with minority and women-owned vendors.


  • Have extensive experience (10+ years) to provide deep knowledge and expertise in Diversity & Inclusion and CSR including effective strategies, studies/publications, vendors, tools, external think tanks & memberships.

  • Leverage D&I and Social Responsibility data and insights, external benchmarking, human capital analytics and insights from key business partners to develop a strategic plans and tactical plans to achieve goals

  • Proven experience to build a culture of inclusion & diversity and value for CSR

  • Track record of strengthening company’s reputation and brand recognition for diversity/inclusion and CSR

  • Experience in establishing & running a Foundation is preferred

  • Proven experience and desire to be a “hands-on” leader.

  • Inspire and motivate direct reports and hold them accountable for delivery of outcomes.

  • Business mindset – internal and external, and analytical

  • Comfortable handling ambiguity and fluid situations; demonstrating a pragmatic approach

  • Ability to challenge the status quo

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including presentations
