DataStax powers the Right-Now Enterprise with the always-on, distributed cloud database built on Apache Cassandra™ and designed for hybrid cloud. We are seeking a talented Senior Director, Americas Partners tojoin our team.

Job Description:

We are seeking a high energy, driven, hands-on Senior Director, North America Partners with a strong technology background and a history of success, who is interested in joining an innovative partner/channel team with opportunities for significant career growth and visibility. This Senior Director will be responsible for scaling and driving sales and revenue with strategic partners, G/SI’s, and resellers. This is an Americas role, with responsibility for all 5 of DataStax’ Enterprise Areas (Federal excluded). The Senior Director, Americas Partners will grow and scale the DataStax channel and partner ecosystem with referral, reseller, and services opportunities, in addition to building strong, robust, lasting relationships that will propel our partner program forward.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Direct report to VP of Global Business Development

  • Lead Regional Partner Directors team to drive, meet and exceed quarterly partner revenue goals in their region by leveraging partners

  • Recruit, train, and manage a focused set of partners and G/SI’s

  • Work cross-functionally with all levels of the Sales, Business Development, and Marketing teams to ensure consistent branding, lead generation, communications, and opportunity identification and deal closure with these partners – cross-functional approach to GTM with partners

  • Work effectively with the cloud partner and solutions partner teams to ensure tightly integrated Go To Market

  • Track record of sales quota achievement and achievement with partners


Job Requirements:

The candidate must have prior experience of working as part of a partner/channel sales team selling enterprise software and solutions. Previous management experience is also required. Specific expertise in the database, big data, and open source software market is highly desired. The ideal candidate will bring in prior relationships with a core, focused set of productive partners.

  • Must have prior direct working experience with the G/SI community

  • Minimum 10 years successful channel and partner experience for enterprise software and solutions

  • Current rolodex of partners specializing in “new age” cloud application creation/migration, digital transformations

  • Demonstrated ability to work in high growth, later stage technology company

  • Willing and able to travel, as required 50%

  • Ability to work with and communicate effectively at all levels of the Partner: executive, sales and technical

  • Ability to work with large, multi-dimensional, complex global partners

  • Ability to lead a team and work independently as needed

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills among a variety of audiences

  • Strong negotiation and closing skills

  • Exceptional leadership skills
