Primary Responsibilities:Responsible for strategic design, implementation, integration, testing, validation, documentation, review, maintenance and accessibility of resources which enable effective and reliable data science, data visualization and business intelligence.Applies knowledge of general business functions and systems to develop strategies, operational plans and standards to support achievement of department, business and corporate goals.Maintains effective team by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; and developing employees’ professional growth opportunities.Achieves staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.Manages people, projects, and products supporting department goals to improve company efficiency, compliance, profitability and stakeholder satisfaction. Other Responsibilites: Translates company business objectives and knowledge of data science to create long-term vision for department. Provides line management to direct reports, including training, performance management, professional development and coaching. Represents the department on company or division-level process improvement initiatives and may act as sponsor for department-specific initiatives. Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans and KPI’s. Maintains strategies for improving department systems/ processes. Represents company at relevant industry forums and/or technology groups. Expertise in machine learning and predictive modeling. Expertise in relational databases, scripting languages, and statistical computing packages. Excellent understanding of applied statistics, including regression models. In-depth knowledge of company people management policies and procedures, including hiring, performance management, corrective action and compensation administration. Advanced leadership skills including change management, people development, strategic thinking and influencing. Ability to strategize, communicate internally and with multiple clients. Ability to resolve complex issues across departments and clients. Ability to structure a scalable team to promote quality deliverables. Ability to translate high- level corporate strategy into long-range project plans to gain competitive advantage.
