General Description

Senior Director Business Development, Samsung Internet Services, US Services & New Business Division Background ? Samsung continues to evolve and grow its business with strategic focus on Services. In 2018, it expects its services business to contribute $200m (total $1.2b of which $1b from strategic partnerships) in revenue globally, and $100m of which is expected from US services team ? According to 2018 management plan for services, Samsung Internet is one of the major service for US market and expected revenue contribution from Samsung Internet is around $35m ? Currently, Samsung Internet currently has 33m MAU in the US and expect to generate around $11m in revenue. However, there is no dedicated to focus on Samsung Internet in US services business division ? Moreover, Samsung Internet Services can be beyond just Samsung Internet and integration with other services and devices can results in much larger business impact and create a competitive edge ? In order to run and manage Samsung Internet Services, a dedicated service leader is needed to deliver the value proposition, operate the service as a business and foster strong eco-system partnerships resulting in services revenue growth

Key Responsibilities

? Own Samsung Internet Services strategy and operations to grow service adoption, expand eco-system partnerships and drive revenue contribution ? Provide the vision, strategic thinking, and leadership required in making Samsung Internet an industry leading web interface ? Align with top management on mid-to-long term strategic plans and propose investment needs to set up infrastructure to build and manage Samsung Internet Services as a business ? Assess competitive landscape, identify partner needs, and understand internal capabilities to plan proactively on the investments that maximizes the ROI ? Lead the business development discussions, negotiations, and close business agreements with variety of Samsung Internet Services partners ? Set up collaboration model with product, technology and services teams in US and headquarter to foster innovative ideas and enhance service features by leveraging internal devices and services that have web component across different GBMs ? Run GTM activities by working with marketing and operations to achieve desired revenue, profit, and client / customer satisfactions KPIs through successful partner and channel management, and marketing activities
