Position:  Senior Digital Project Manager Location:  St. Louis, MO Job Id:  255 # of Openings:  1 Who you are:   You have broad shoulders able to navigate complex projects and structures with diplomacy.    You thrive in fast past, changing environments by taking control and leading by example.    You're a self-starter that does not wait to be told what to do.    You know what questions to ask, how to build relationships with internal stakeholder and clients to become the go to person       You know how to lead and cope with change and suggest and roll out new ways of working   You care deeply about the creative product and are able to bring suggestions to the table to enhance the solution      What the job is:   You will be expected to have the right people in the right place at the right time to enable agency to “move it forward” and produce GREAT creative work-on time, on budget and as efficiently as possible.   As a Senior Project Manager you must be able to manage a large multi-faceted project/account/campaign or multiple projects at the same time. You must also be able to manage a Project Manager and/or an Assistant Project Manager and/or team of Project Managers.   Essential Functions: 

  • Work as liaison/communications hub between all Agency team members and agency partners who may touch an assigned account/project.
  • Ensure that proper forecasting is being done for all projects on assigned account/s.
  • Manage and be accountable for each step of the creative development process.
  • Organize, manage, prioritize and be accountable for workflow from creative development through delivery of materials to client, vendor, etc. (Negotiate/communicate with the creative, account management and production team members every step of the way).
  • Set up and run all necessary key touch-point meetings in the process.
  • Oversee creation of detailed timing plans (from creative development through delivery) and manage timing plan/s throughout the life of each project.
  • Work with Business Leadership partners to create and manage estimates and budgets.
  • Develop, manage and enforce a rigorous approvals process (from creative development through production phases of each project).
  • Coordinate with production staff throughout the creative development process-ensure that feasibility checks are being done.
  • Engage in contingency planning and recommend solutions.
  • Alert team if a project strays out of the originally set parameters.
  • Provide insight on process improvements or resources/tools opportunities.
  • Keep Director of Project Management aware of progress o each project and the development/deployment of the process-raising concerns as quickly as possible.
  • Keep detailed records of the life of a project and share information as necessary.
  • Ensure that agreed-upon Agency workflow/process is followed.
  • Add projects to maintain the current status of projects on Workload Status Report (rolling this out is phases across offices).
  • Attend and participate actively in all necessary status meeting weekly.
  • Coordinate with any freelance or outside creative resources/vendors (if necessary/as needed).
  • Help develop the skill set and career path of any/all project managers on your team- organize and gather data fro performance reviews.

  Education, Experience, & Skills:   A minimum of 4+ years of project management experience- preferably from a traditional advertising agency setting (for candidates outside of agency only).   Basic to expert understanding of one or all production disciplines: print, digital, broadcast, (multi-media) and live events productions.   Self-motivated, quick and assertive.   Extremely detailed oriented and organized.   Exceptional time management skills.   Excellent writing and communication skills.   Cool, Calm, collected, and collaborative.   Strong sense of design and experience with industry leading creative output.   Proficient in MS Office applications, Adobe Acrobat Professional.   A working knowledge of MSProject and/or FileMakerPro, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc., a plus
